Yesterday, Year 3 took part in an Ancient Egyptian workshop and they had a fabulous time!
They looked at a wide range of artefacts that would have been used by the ancient Egyptians including equipment used for embalming, which the children thought was fascinating! The children then made their own amulet.
The children also learnt about lots of different Egyptian people and their jobs; and had ana amazing time dressing up like them and bring them back to life with an ancient spell!
A big thank you to shrewsburymuseum for delivering the workshop and Miss Crook for the wonderful photos!

Year 5 started the term by unwrapping some new books.
They are really excited to be taking part in Shropshire Bookfest Big Book Award.

What a fabulous way to launch our new History topic - Birch had a fantastic time in their Ancient Egyptian Workshop.
They got to handle artefacts, create their own clay artefact, dress up as the different jobs in Ancient Egpyt, learnt all about mummification and the gods.

Awesome, looks like a fun and informative lesson
The Cooper Crew have spent the afternoon clearing the main path from the school gate up to the main entrance. It is still very slippery, but we hope that it means that we can open to our children as usual. Please ensure that the children have spare and suitable footwear and clothing for tomorrow and PLEASE take care as the paths around school are very slippery!
