Halloween is coming upon us and is about fun, costumes, and sweet treats—but safety comes first! Whether you’re out trick-or-treating or celebrating at a party, here are some tips to keep your night safe and spooky (in the right way):
🧛 Trick-or-Treating Safety:
• Wear bright or reflective costumes so drivers can see you.
• Stick to well-lit streets and always use pavements where possible.
• Young children should be accompanied by an adult—don’t go alone.
• Only visit homes with lights on, and never enter a stranger’s house.
🚗 Road Safety:
• Drivers, please slow down and watch carefully for excited children crossing.
• Parents, remind children to stop, look, and listen before crossing the road.
• Avoid distractions (like mobile phones) while walking.
🎉 Party Safety:
• Be mindful with candles—use LED lights where possible.
• Keep costumes away from naked flames.
• Plan a safe journey home—don’t drink and drive.
